Turtlebrace is an “apply and forget” type brace made of stratification of multi-perforated low-temperature thermoplastic and a microfiber fabric.
The great flexibility of the components stabilizes the joint more easily and with more precision than a traditional brace or cast.
It can be reshaped many times, without losing its qualities; allowing adjustment according to the loss of swelling or morphological changes
Turtlebrace can be moulded by using the Turtlebrace heating bag, an oven or hot water pan, between 67 °C and 85 °C (152°F and 185°F), until it becomes soft and elastic.
The heating bag is used in conjunction with a standard Hair drier as the heat source, to warm the brace to the temperature required to mould.
A great asset to have for community or clinic based Turtlebrace fittings.
